I know this is not going to come off as very helpful, but because I am traveling, my rates depends on the location in which I am working at any given time. I adjust my rates to “normal” day rates in the area at the time I am working.
I do not price by the hour or by the piece, I price by the day because I prefer doing larger projects. I find that when we are not restricted by hourly restraints I am able to do my best work. For limited projects, I am available for half day rates.
For an estimated cost/commitment on large scale coverage, i find that most arm sleeves take 4-6 sessions, full leg sleeves take roughly 7-8 sessions, half leg sleeves 3-4, and torso pieces will range in time depending on size and complexity. I will be able to give you an approximate amount of time during the email and consultation process.
for larger scale (multi-day) projects, sometimes they take longer. if another session is required, i typically do this at a highly discounted rate but it is something to keep in mind a budget for.
i do require a deposit for each day that you book and these will come off the final session of the project. and again, the deposit is different depending on the location you are booking for. You will be provided with all this information once you get in contact through my consultation form.
the deposit is non-refundable and will be lost in the event of a cancellation or reschedule within 72 hours of the appointment and a new one will need to be left in order to reschedule
i accept Apple Pay, Venmo, ethereum, bitcoin, and Paypal for deposits and payment for your session. I MUCH PREFER CASH THE DAY OF!
i am interested in expanding my large scale geometric/ornamental work both as stand-alone geometric projects AND as geometric work incorporated with realism.
I am also interested in any symmetrical pieces: example, matching ankle or feet pieces, both shins or both calfs etc
In terms of subject matter, I love incorporating portraits with geometry, and would also love to work with certain kinds of animals or insects. I’m open to incorporating other subject matter as long as I feel like it would flow well with my geometric style.
i am always a fan of working on an arm sleeve or a leg sleeve or any other large scale projects
As always, I give priority to large scale projects that allow me freedom within constraints that let my creativity shine.
For example, here are some prompts that clients have given me that I feel like allow me to do my best work. highly conceptual pieces get my mind and soul working to help transmit the intention that you want through the piece. My recommendation is to tell me your intentions and leave the concept as open as possible. This will allow me to meditate on your intentions and create something that I think aligns with that and your vibe. I only take work that I know will feed my soul. Because I do everything with my heart, I don’t take work that I don’t feel will do my purpose justice. The more creative freedom I have, the better I can make your tattoo.
“I want you to use geometry to symbolize this person that I loved and lost.“
“I want you to use geometry to signify what it feels like to listen to music“ etc
I do not copy or re-create designs. I love taking inspiration from things that you like and making some thing only for you.
PLEASE check my story highlight on Instagram (@clair.voyage.tattoo) called priority flash. This has a variety of designs that I would love to do if they speak to you. These are done at a discounted rate.
I do not send out designs or a sketch ahead of time. Instead, I view the booking form and consultation as your opportunity to express all of your wishes and requirements for the piece that I will combine with my artistic input and experience to come up with a unique design customized to you and your intentions. Often, I will reach out during the design process and ask more questions or clarify any doubts I may have.
Sometimes this includes a video call or in person meeting depending on the project.
if you would like to do some sort of in person consultation prior to your session, there is space to mention this at the bottom of the form.
for most pieces, when you come into the shop on the day of the appointment, I will have a finalized draft of the design to show you (sometimes more than one, and often mocked up onto pictures of your body or a body template). I am open to talking about any concerns or adjustments to the design at that point.
Ultimately I do request a lot of trust from my clientele and feel that I do my best work when I can be creative with the projects presented to me. I view my tattoo process as commissioning a piece of original and uniquely customized artwork as opposed to a fill-in-the-blank completely customizable order.

please wear clothing that will allow for easy access to the area you are having tattooed. please bring layers or a possible blanket (it is not ideal but any clothing or blanket may be susceptible to tattoo ink, stencil ink, or blood so please keep that in mind when choosing outfit, when in doubt wear BLACK)
I recommend bringing a water bottle and possibly a sugary beverage. I do have drinks and candies normally available depending on where I am working.
I will likely take at some point in the day to eat a small lunch or snack. please feel free to bring your own lunch or snack to eat during the day or you are also welcome to order any delivery food to the shop during the appointment
large scale tattooing takes time and it can be quite boring. please feel free to bring anything to keep you occupied during the tattoo (i.e. cell phone, book, headphones, charger, etc.)
NO GUESTS! This may seem like a harsh rule, but I find that someone sitting around for eight hours tends to get very bored, this is a policy that I have in order to make sure that I am not feeling rushed or hurried in any way.
I don’t mind using lidocaine before/during sessions. But it is imperative that you advise me before the session so we can discuss the options and details.
through tattooing, I have had some of my most profound instances of self realization and healing. They have helped me in immeasurable ways to set intentions and achieve various things throughout my life.
Before beginning the art of tattoo, I was receiving tattoos for 10 years. I want to create the space that i wish all the tattoo artists in the past would have created for me.
this means that i take care of myself, i show up sober, not hung over, well rested, with a clear mind and the best intentions in my heart, etc (you would be shocked how RARE this is among tattoo artists). I take this endeavor extremely seriously. the intention i put into the tattoo literally stays in your skin and your life forever. i cannot stress how grateful i feel that my clients and friends trust me with this PRIVILEGE
with this being said, I wish to create spiritual spaces for those seeking that through the art of tattooing. it is not a nessecity but it helps me and you connect through this sacred art form.
What do you want to manifest in your life?
What do you want to let go off?
Pain is a very powerful tool in embracing things, letting things go, or creating the change that we wish to see in our lives. It’s not always necessary to know the exact reason of why you feel drawn to be tattooed in this way, but I know from my own powerful experiences that some very profound realizations can show themselves through this process. Things you would never expect or were too stubborn to admit through normal means. The intentional tattoo process can look very different from person to person. This is because everyone is on their own journey and desires different things. The following intentional day can be broken down into any way that is comfortable for the individual.
This process is subject to change depending on the studio in which I am working.
Start the day with tea. This allows the person about to get tattooed and the artist to establish a connection with each other. This also can help calm any nerves and gives us some time to get to know each other. Having tea allows me as the artist to get a feel for how you are doing that day.
During tea we can pull Tarot cards.
Once tea is finished is it time to smudge. Smudging is usually done with palo santo. This is a ritual designed to clear and cleanse the individual, room, and artist. It is also used to establish connection, release nerves, and cleanse any energies that do not serve us for the day.
Set intentions. At this point, we will each write down our intentions for the day, the tattoo, that moment, or whatever you would like. This step will establish the connection with the tattoo and help the individual have a clear idea of their intentions.
At this point, we will put on the tattoo stencil
The final step before we start tattooing is a short meditation to reflect on the intentions for the day, while centering ourselves in our bodies and breath. This is a space to focus internally about what you are bringing into your life with this modification and what it signifies to you.
And finally we start the tattoo!
Some people enjoy talking during the tattoo, this is totally okay as by this point we have created a safe space to talk about and feel whatever you want.
Others may just want to listen to music or watch a movie and relax
Others may want to sit with their pain, work on breath, meditation, or reach a new level of awareness. This would be done by putting on music and tattooing in silence so the individual can focus on their pain/intentions. Allowing them to go as deep as they want. This practice can be done for any amount of time during the tattooing.
To close an intentional day, we will do a short guided visualization/meditation and smudging. Finishing in this way, allows closure from the experience and the day.
